Nagging wife |
“Favour
[is] deceitful, and beauty [is] vain: [but] a woman [that] feareth the Lord,
she shall be praised.” (Proverbs 31:30) (KJV)
“Who
can find a virtuous woman? For her price [is] far above rubies.” (Proverbs
31:10) (KJV)
Womanhood
is such a wonderful and challenging experience. The woman was created by divine
plan to fulfil a unique and divine purpose. It is to be noted that every woman,
without exception is expected to live a life that is worthy of emulation.
CHARACTERISTICS OF A “STRANGE” WOMAN
Insincerity
– She uses flattering speech or seductive words, giving insincere praise with a
wrong motive (Proverbs 2:16, 6:24, 7:5)
Adulterous woman |
Evil and Destroyer
– She is evil and seeks to destroyer others by drawing them into sin (Proverbs
6:24-26, Genesis 39: 6-18). She is wicked and cruel. Jezebel the wife of Ahab
is an example of such evil woman (1 Kings 20: 1-16). She is always on
assignment to destroy. She has different destructive weapons.
Subtle –
She is deceptive and subtle. She misleads people by making them believe what is
not true. She always behaves in a clever way, and uses indirect methods to
achieve what she does not deserve. She is pictured as a deceptive pit which
causes others to fall. Delilah fits into this category. She plotted Samson’s
destruction and succeeded. (Judges 16:6-31)
Contentious
– “Contentious” means to be argumentative, always involved in controversy or
contentious meetings. It is better to dwell in the wilderness than with this
type of a woman as qualified in the Bible. They are dangerous elements which
you should not have relationship with. (Proverbs 19:13, 27:15, 21:19).
A brawler
– She is very lousy and fights noisily (Proverbs 25:24). Proverbs warns against
this type of woman. A brawler cannot be a good companion.
Adulterous
– This woman always involves in adulterous physical relationship (Proverbs
21:19, 5:20). She derives pleasure in allowing different “keys” to open her
door or allow different “water drawer” to fetch water from her “well”.
Angry – Anger is
always written on the face of this type of woman (Proverbs 21:19).
She loses
her temper at every little provocation. She makes life unpleasant for her
household that is why the book of proverbs 21:19 says “It is better to dwell in
the wilderness, than with a contentious and angry woman.” Anger is synonymous
with madness and any woman with this attitude is not fit to relate with.
Angry wife |
Unprofitable
– She can plunge you into financial crises and ruin (Proverbs 27: 13). She is
wasteful and unprofitable. She does not consider her man’s purse before
requesting and purchasing anything that can bring debt and shame to the family.
Foolish and Clamorous
– She lacks wisdom and knowledge. She is fond of complaining and frequently
demanding for high things (Proverbs 9:13). Also, she is unwise, stupid and
lacks good sense of judgement. She is very loud and does her things foolishly.
Loose Tongue
– She uses her tongue anyhow by gossiping, pulling others down, bragging,
manipulating through false teaching, exaggerating, lying, backbiting, cursing
and telling fake tales. This type of woman is suffering from what is called
“oral diarrhea”, etc. (Proverbs 10:19, 17:28, James 1:19)
Pride – She is a
woman that behaves in a proud and unpleasant way. She always destroys herself
because of pride. A proud woman can never be a good wife or mother (Proverbs
16:18)
Nagging
– To nag means to cause confusion, pain etc continuously, ungodly woman nag all
day long. Nagging is not of God so any woman in this category does not worth to
associate with.
Envy and Jealousy
– The two are like twins which cannot be separated. These acts are obvious in
the lives of an ungodly woman. God detests envy, jealousy and every sin. Envious woman can engage in anything evil, so
be careful of her.
Malice –
It is a devilish act and this evil character abounds in an ungodly woman. A
woman keeping malice do herself more harm whenever she sees the person she is
keeping malice with.
Keeping
malice is evil!
The
book of Proverbs in the Holy Bible describes the strange woman as a rather
unpleasant woman for a wife and teaches that such a woman should be avoided. He
warned that it is better to dwell in the housetop, wilderness or in a corner of
the housetop than to dwell with her. (Proverbs 21:9)
You
can imagine how dangerous a strange woman is, by seeing that living in a
housetop or wilderness will be better than staying with her. This means she is
toxic and can make journey of life miserable and frustrating for anyone that
marries her. So men “shine your eyes” well before engaging in a marital
relationship with any lady.
God
bless you.
