This is A No Brainer! Get Him to Propose

Bookmark and Share

So, you've been with your boyfriend for so long and you think he is perfect for you. Your relationship has had its ups and downs, but all in all, it's doing okay. Now, you want to take your relationship to the next level, but it seems that he's not ready yet. What could be the reason why he doesn't want to move your relationship status up? Are there better ways to get your boyfriend to propose?

To tell you honestly, there are many ways to get a guy to propose without looking like a desperate, sneaky and pushy woman; and this article aims to outline these methods for you.

One of the many ways to get your boyfriend to propose is to drop subtle hints. Once in a while, blurt out something like "we are a perfect team". And also, from time to time, you can tell him about other people who got married, especially your common friends. You may also talk about common friends or relatives who just proposed or got proposed to.

Now when you deliver such a topic, remember not to make things about you. Just discuss how lovely or how funny the proposal was, and then tell your boyfriend how you want to be proposed to. Make it as low-key and as realistic as possible.

The next thing you can do is to ask your boyfriend how he feels about marriage. Try to find his fears about marriage and try to address them one by one. Never try to address all of his commitment issues all at once of you'll fail and may even end up pushing him further away.

If these aren't enough to encourage your boyfriend to propose, don't worry because there are still other ways to make him do so. One of which is by showing him that you can be an ideal wife and mother. Take care of him when he's sick, give him a relaxing massage after work or cook a delicious meal for him.

While your aim is not to look like your boyfriend's mother, you should at least aim to resemble the person who your boyfriend lived with for almost half his life. So show him a side of you that's able to nurture and care.

Fourth, always remember to make his memories of you as fun and enjoyable as possible. When making a big decision such as proposing to a woman, a man usually base his decision on how he feels about you. So remember to stock up as much happy memory in him as you can if you want him to start considering taking your relationship to the next level.

And now finally, if you want him to consider proposing to you, what you can do is to make marriage seem non-threatening. As you may already know, men look at marriage as if it's a maximum security prison. They feel like it's going to take away their freedom. So, don't be so strict with him.

Every now and then, allow him to go out with his friends. At some point, you can even surprise him by ordering a round of drinks or a delicious dish for your boyfriend and his pals. Also, once in a while you can ask your boyfriend to go out with you and have fun.

This will make your boyfriend realize that being married to you will not suck the fun out of his life. Thus, the idea of proposing to you and marrying you will become acceptable to him. Always remember that making him overcome his fears of marriage is one of the best ways to get your boyfriend to propose, but make sure that you're doing it slowly.
